Assembly line

The assembly line represents the structure of the stations, operators, and machines for a balancing. In TiCon4 it is possible to create an assembly line as a "global resource" and reuse it.

An assembly line consists of stations and the stations consist of human resources or machines.

Several operators can be assigned to one station.

Elements

Assignable work contents in the form of process elements (with or without ergonomics evaluation) and MTM-HWD elements

Net working time = Shift duration (net)

Total time (in minutes) available for an operator, e.g. total length of a shift. TiCon considers the complete time given as working time, so it is to be entered without breaks or similar.

Number of pieces

Number of all products to be manufactured in the net working time

Number of pieces is entered in the "Variant" tab and is taken into account only in mix balancing and maximum balancing.

Cycle time (total)

The time which is actually available for each workpiece

Actual cycle time

Time after which the products are moved further along the line; corresponds to the activity time of the workplace with the highest activity time

Target cycle time

Time in which a product must be completed within normal working time in order to fulfill the customer order

Balancing difference

Under-worked working time: Can be determined per operator or for the complete assembly line.

 For value calculation, see "Auswertung"

Assembly line efficiency*

Percentage workload of assembly line

Variant / Product variant

Product variant for use in mix balancing or maximum balancing

Scope defined by selection of processes based on the variant key (criterion CR)

Defined by a variant key or by a direct assignment of processes to a product variant (table with check boxes [x])

More about this: Produktvariante

Variant key

Determines affiliation of work content with a product variant.

More about this: Variantenschlüssel

Product family

Group of several products with similar properties
