MTM, MTM-1®, and MTM-2® analysis

In principle, a distinction is made between three types of analysis (= element configurations) for the element type Process element:

MTM analysis (consideration of the activity of both hands – analyzed, for example, with MEK®, UAS®)

MTM-1® analysis (separate consideration of left and right hand – analyzed with MTM-1®)

MTM-2® analysis (separate consideration of left and right hand – analyzed with MTM-2®)

The MTM-1® and MTM-2® analyses differ from MTM-Analysen in the design of the "Structure" tab, where processes can be recorded separately for the right and left hand.

If not otherwise mentioned, it can be assumed that MTM Analyses are considered below.

The following types are valid for all three kinds of analyses:

An analysis is an element that has a unique name, a description, and time information. Depending on its type, an analysis describes an individual work step, an activity, or an entire task. Your time information normally describes the time required to execute the described process. The time span's considered range from fractions of a second to several hundred hours.

An analysis has the following specific tabs:

Tab

Content

Kopf

The master data of the analysis, additional description and general information

Struktur

Sequence description made up of MTM basic data or self-created elements

Baum

Displays all levels up to the basic element in a tree view.

Zeitgliederung

Displays an overview of all time sums of the element and allows e.g. the inserting of times.

Zeitenbaum

Displays the composition of the time types in the form of the time tree according to REFA.

Value added, e.g. Ablaufindikatoren

Graphical evaluations of the process indicators, e.g. value added

The allgemeingültigen Tabs are also available.

Note:

"Open the same tab" option in the Einstellungen:

If this option is active and an analysis is opened in the "Structure" tab before closing, for example, the element is opened directly in the "Structure" tab when another existing analysis is opened.
