TiCon4 uses a folder structure, similar to the structure of the Windows Explorer. Regardless of their function, the folders are a basic division of TiCon elements, which enables faster search and selection. The TiCon administrator defines the usage of folders and the access rights for each role and user. This makes it easy to define plants, projects, templates, company-specific standards, etc. For example, in order to be able to use the same codes in several folders, because one of the folders is used as an archive, the folder usage must be set up accordingly.
For each user a standard folder and starting folder can be defined by the TiCon administrator.
By default, the following folders exist in TiCon4:
Folder |
Function/Content |
Favorites |
Storage of links to specific elements / folders for direct access |
User data |
Main folder for your own elements, starting point to create your own subfolders |
MTM Process elements |
Includes all MTM elements included by default (read-only). |
Data Cards |
Includes all MTM data cards sorted into individual folders. |
The folder icons are colored or identified with a padlock (Locked folders). General folders are marked in yellow (). These folders do not have a specific function.
You can create folders in order to organize your data. It is also possible to create folders within folders (so-called subfolders). Right-click the folder, in which the new folder is supposed to be included, and select New / New subfolder…. You can also create a new folder using the New button in the ribbon.
