Number of tools used |
"Number of tools used" indicates the number of tools required to perform an assembly. (Changing a socket is also evaluated, for example.) |
Explanation
If different size fastening elements are used to fasten a component, this normally requires the use of more than one tool.
Example:
If a component is fastened with 1 M8 bolt and 1 M6 bolt (differing wrench sizes), this requires the use of 2 wrenches or changing the wrench socket. For this, the frequency "2" is entered in the "Number of tools" column.
Note: |
From an ergonomic perspective, tool use involves a higher number of real actions (e. g. picking up the tool and setting it aside, screwing cycles, strokes with a hammer). These are taken into account in the ergonomic evaluation for the assembly difficulty "Number of tools used". An application of force connected with the use of the tool (pressure used for clipping, pressing a screwdriver) must be taken into account for the "Kräfte" criterion. |
