Processes

All activities that are performed for the purpose of positioning and grasping a component are called Processes , such as fastening processes, apply agent, curing and welding processes.

Explanation

To be able to classify processes specifically with respect to type and duration, a classification system involving 3 classes (P1, P2, P3) was introduced. In various assembly situations, quite different processes may occur. For this reason, every user has to assign one of the three classes according to the specific field of application.

The table below shows process assignments that are typically found in automated assembly processes.
