If you would like to work with several languages in TiCon4, please note the following when editing folders and other system data.
The user who wants to enter a translation for a folder or system data needs the "Translator" role. Otherwise, entering a translation corresponds to renaming, i.e. the text is saved consistently in all languages.
How to translate folders:
1. The user needs the "Translator" role.
2. Log in in the language in which the text is to be translated
3. Select folder and select the "Rename" option via the context menu or the ribbon
4. Enter translation
Note: |
Without the Translator role, Renaming corresponds to a normal Renaming and the text is saved equally in all languages. |
How to translate system data:
System data is all data that can be maintained in the administration, such as tags, criteria, process indicators. Translating this content is usually done in the same way as translating folders. Very little system data has the "Übersetzen" area in the ribbon. However, if it is available, it can be used as translation support.
1. The user needs the "Translator" role.
2. In most cases it will be required to log in in the language into which you would like to translate (target language)
3. Open the required object, e.g. tags in the administration, and enter the translation in the description
Note: |
Without the Translator role, the new text would be recognized as renamed and saved equally in all languages. |
