If you would like to work with several languages in TiCon4, please note the following when editing folders and other system data.
The user who wants to enter a translation for a folder o system data, needs the role of the translator. Otherwise, entering a translation corresponds to renaming, i.e. the text is saved as equal in all languages.
How to translate folders:
1. The user needs the Translator role.
2. Login in language, in which the text is to be translated
3. Select the folder and choose Rename from the context menu or the ribbon
4. Enter translation
Please note: |
Without the Translator role, Renaming corresponds to a normal Renaming and the text is saved equally in all languages. |
How to translate system data:
System data are all data, that can be maintained in the Administration, such as tags, criteria, process indicators. Translating these contents is usually the same as translating folders. Only some of the system data have the Translate area in the ribbon. However, if it as available, it can be used as translation support.
1. The user needs the Translator role.
2. In most cases it will be required to logon in the language, into which you would like to translate
3. Open the required object, e.g. tags in the Administration, and enter the translation in the description
Please note: |
Without the Translator role, the new text would be recognized as renamed and saved equally in all languages. |
