A formula is inserted into the structure of an MTM-1®, MTM-2® analysis or MTM analysis in the same way as into another analysis. Formulas can be used in sections.
If there are no values / default values in the formula for the parameters, the row is highlighted in red and the user receives a corresponding message. Otherwise, the time value in the structure line corresponds to the result of the default values.
Formula with missing default values
The formula parameters (values and coding) can be entered using the context menu or the Formula parameter button in the Structure ribbon.
Structurer - calling up the formula parameters
The Calculate button is used to determine the result, which is written into the structure using Apply and becomes part of the total time of the element.
Entering the formula parameters in the usage
Variables of elements can also be used as formula parameters. If variables are maintained in the Variables tab of the element and a formula is linked that uses an identical variable as a parameter, this variable is automatically entered as a formula parameter when you insert the formula into the element. The variable can be overwritten manually at any time in the "Formula parameters" dialog. Value lists can also be created in formulas since TiCon 4.04. If such a formula is used in an analysis, the desired parameter can be selected from the existing value list in the formula parameter dialog. Formula parameter dialog with value list for selection |
