The Replica section contains a list of replica databases in tabular form.
Replica databases can be defined here on a line-by-line basis.
The ribbon and context menu include the usual buttons for adding, copying, inserting, and deleting rows.
Please note: |
|---|
If a replica database is removed that still has licenses assigned to it, the delete or cut operation will be denied. |
Setting up a Replica Database
1.Open the Replica section.
2.Click Add.
3.Insert the connection string for the desired database in the corresponding column.
In this example, the highlighted part in bold has to be inserted.
<config
name="connectionString"
value="Data Source=SQLSERVER2016; Initial Catalog=US27410_SL1_RIC; User Id=ticonuser; Password=sql; Persist Security Info=True; MultipleActiveResultSets=True; App=TiCon4"
/>
<config name="providerName" value="System.Data.SqlClient" />
4.Assign a code to the database
Please note: |
|---|
The Last Transfer column displays the timestamp with the server date of the last successful complete transfer. |
Functions in the Ribbon

Check connection
This function checks whether a connection can be established to all replica databases. However, no data is transmitted during this process.
If the check is successful, a green status message appears in the status bar.
If an check fails, an error message describing the cause appears in the status bar.
Warning: |
|---|
Existing data in the replica databases will be overwritten without prompting. |
Execute synchronization
The Perform Synchronization function transfers all elements from the selected folders and all associated licenses to the replica databases.
A connection check is performed automatically before synchronization begins. If this fails, the synchronization will be canceled.
The licenses stored in the replica databases are completely deleted and then reinitialized with the licenses defined in the primary database for the respective replica; they are also automatically activated.
All elements of the folders defined in the Sync Folders section are written to the replica database.
Errors that occur during the process are recorded in a log once synchronization is complete.
Warning: |
|---|
Existing data in the replica databases will be overwritten without prompting. |
Assign Licenses
Licenses are assigned by the administrator of the primary database in the Licenses section.
To do this, select the desired replica database from the drop-down menu in the row corresponding to the relevant license.
