Criteria are additional input fields at TiCon elements for the search of elements and for printing additional information.

Order of creation

1.New creation and specification of the criterion

2.Association of the criterion to element configuration(s), optionally with display in header

3.Check if the Criteria tab is activated in the Tabs tab of the element configuration

4.Test of the display in the element

Basic settings

Type

Meaning

Text

If a criterion is of the type string, then the user can use alphanumeric characters as criterion.

Number

If a criterion is of the type string, then the user can use only numeric characters as criterion.

Date

If a criterion is of the type date, the user enters a valid date as the criterion. Entries of the data type date can be selected using the calendar drop-down field or can be entered manually.

Fixed value input

If a criterion is of the fixed value input type, then a list of values has to be created in the Fixed value input tab, from which the user can select a value.

A criteria value can be defined as the default value when applying a fixed value input.

A color can be assigned to each value in the value list.

Note:

Sorting of the criteria at the element corresponds to the column number from the "Fixed value input" tab. Clicking the column headers sorts the results individually and saves them accordingly.

Boolean value

Yes/No = Check box

Orientation

By setting the orientation, it is possible to display the text of the criteria right / left aligned or centered.

Note:

This function is not available for the type 'Boolean values (Yes/No)'.

Editable

•If the checkbox is active, the user can enter and select values. If the checkbox is inactive, the entry is blocked for the user.

•If the check box is active, the criteria and the values entered there can be searched for.

•Searchable controls the column selection of the criteria in Explorer.

Mandatory field

If the checkbox is active, the user has to enter a value in the corresponding field of an element before saving. If this is not the case, saving is aborted.

Depending on the selected type, further settings can be made in the bottom part.

Settings for text

Default value

If a value is entered in the field <Standard value>, it applies as template when using the criterion.

Value definition

The following expressions can be used for the value definition input. The expressions can be combined as required. All features correspond to those of regular expressions.

Characters	Meaning / Example
[]	Areas of alphanumeric characters [A-C][D-F] – the first position of the code can contain the characters A, B, C, and the second position the characters D, E, F.
.	Any character .A – the first character is arbitrary, the 2nd character must be an A.
$	Last character A$ - the last character must be an A, the $ sign must come after the A.
^	First character ^A - the first character must be an A, the ^ character must come before the A.
*	Any number of characters G* - any number of Gs can be contained in the code part. It is allowed to assign no Gs.
+	Any number of characters G+ - any number of Gs can be contained in the code part. At least one G must be assigned.
[^]	Not allowed sign [^A] – an A must not be entered at this position.

Error message

If the Value definition field is filled, an individual error message can be stored in the Error message field. This will be displayed to the user if the input value does not correspond to the value definition.

Multiline

If the checkbox is active, the criterion is multiline and can be displayed with up to 10 rows if required. The maximum number of characters per row is 255.

Settings for number

Default value

If a value is entered in the field <Standard value>, it applies as template when using the criterion.

Minimum / Maximum

If the fields maximum and minimum are used, the values entered there present the interval limits of the criterion.

Decimal places

The decimal places can be specified for the "Number" type. The default is: <Whole number>

Settings for date

Default value

If a date is entered in the field <Standard value>, it applies as template when using the criterion.

Settings for Boolean value (Yes/No)

Default value

The status (Yes / No / Undefined) of the checkbox at <Standard value> serves as the template for the use of the criterion.

Allow undefined as value

If the <Allow undefined as value> checkbox is active, Undefined can also be selected in addition to Yes and No.

Note:

If a criterion of the type Boolean value is to be used as a mandatory criterion, the Allow undefined as value and Editable checkboxes must be active, and the standard value set to 'Undefined - '.

Note:

The "Variant key" [CR] and "Color" [COLOR] criteria are MTM standards. The code of these criteria may not be changed. These criteria are configured to be used in the Takt module. In the "Color" [COLOR] criterion, four colors are predefined. The existing colors can be changed and further colors can be added.
