TiCon workstation – stand-alone or multi-user operation

To use TiCon, make sure your computer meets the following requirements:

▪Processor:
Minimum: Intel Core i5 (10 cores); 16 GB RAM
Recommended: Intel Core i7 (16 cores) with Intel EVO; 32 GB RAM

▪RAM: Minimum 16 GB (32 GB recommended)

▪Hard disk space: M.2 SSD hard disk, at least 2 GB for TiCon + 5 GB for local database

▪Operating system: Windows 11, Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2025

▪Screen resolution: At least 1280 x 800

▪Network / network adapter: LAN connection, TCP/IP 100 Mbit
Wi-Fi is not recommended due to possible interruptions!

▪Software: Internet connection for online help with access to http://ticonhelp.mtm.org,

▪Adobe Acrobat Reader (only required for custom external links in the Help menu), printer driver, minimum: .NET Runtime 10

▪Database (client): For stand-alone operation, SQL Server LocalDB (supplied).

Database Server

If you want to use TiCon with a database server, here's the minimum hardware you'll need:

▪Database system:
Microsoft SQL Server 2022, 2025;
Microsoft SQL Server Express 2022, 2025

▪Processor: Intel Core i5 2.6 GHz or comparable (at least 8 cores)

▪RAM: Minimum 16 GB (32 GB recommended)

▪Hard disk space: 20 GB for the database plus 5 GB for the DB server software

▪Operating system: Microsoft SQL Server – as recommended by the manufacturer

▪Network card: TCP/IP 1 GBit; response time of connection between client and server: recommended 1 ms (max. 5 ms)

Citrix

Recommended minimum requirements (specifications per instance for two users):

▪Processor: Intel Core i5 4.0 GHz (14 cores)

▪RAM: 32 GB

▪Operating system: Windows Server 2019 or later

TiCon TS 2.0

The following requirements must be met to use the Time Study App 2.0 “TiCon TS 2.0”:

▪Apple iPhone / iPad: iOS 26 or later

▪Android smartphone / tablet: Android 12 or later (API level 31)

▪Windows phone/tablet: is not currently supported

TiCon REST API

TiCon REST-API requires a web server (IIS or Azure) on which it is installed.

Requirements:

▪Microsoft Web Deploy v4.0

▪Access to the TiCon4 database (only Microsoft SQL server supported)

▪Accessible via HTTP/HTTPS for the consumers of the interface

Authentication:

▪Authentication is performed using BASIC AUTH or OAuth

TiCon4 Service

▪Processor:
Minimum: Intel Core i5 2.6 GHz (8 cores)
Recommended: Intel Core i5 4.0 GHz (14 cores)

▪RAM: Minimum 16 GB (32 GB recommended)

▪Hard disk space: M.2 SSD hard disk, at least 2 GB for TiCon + 5 GB for local database

▪Operating system: Windows 10 (Version 21H2) (x64), Windows 11, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022

▪Network / network adapter: LAN connection, TCP/IP 100 Mbit
