Awkward body posture

Awkward body posture

Awkward body postures describe body postures that are critical from an ergonomic perspective and that arise as a result of the conditions of a known (existing) work system.

Explanation

Awkward body postures are all working positions that involve having the arms at shoulder height or above the head, with a flexed trunk, or squatting/kneeling, which the worker has to sustain for longer than 4 seconds.

Please note:

Only for a known (existing) work system, the criterion Awkward body posture is taken into account. Otherwise, in case of an unknown work system, the criterion Distance to previous pos. location is evaluated.
