Readjustment while positioning refers to additional corrective motions that are required to place the component in its final position, following its initial positioning.

On the x-axis, the position of the element is defined by stops. On the y-axis there is no stop, so readjustment is necessary.
Example:
After inserting a cable clamp into a bore hole, roughly align the cable. Exact alignment at a marking is being analyzed as a second positioning location.

Readjustment / check refers to design-caused processes that must be performed prior to completing subsequent activities.

Explanation
Adjustment or check processes interrupt the assembly process and are considered waste.

Upon completion of a positioning process that includes a readjustment, a Check (visual / manual) or a related Adjustment of the component due to structural tolerances may be required. In this case, an "Adjustment/Check" is analyzed.
