The user can choose the formula type between time formula and value formula.

•Time formula
Time formulas provide a time value in a specific time type or separately for the different time types. The time type of the formula result is displayed in depends on the settings of the "Zeitablauf" and "Zeittyp" fields.
Note: |
Internally, TiCon calculates times in the following order: The formula is calculated based on the time types determined in the "Parameters" tab. Then the "Zeitablauf" field is evaluated. That means, if the time distribution is, for example, set as E, the set-up times calculated in the formula will be taken into account in the production times. Lastly, the "Zeittyp" is evaluated: If the time type is for instance trtu, all production times will be assigned to the time type trtu. |
•Value formula
Value formulas are used to calculate intermediate results such as circumference, distance, or weight. Usually they are used in other formulas but can also be included directly in analyses.
The result of a value formula is always considered as time type TTU.
Only value formulas allow you to fill in the "Unit" field. This field only serves for informational purposes and does not affect the result of the calculation.
The "Zeitablauf" and "Zeittyp" fields are disabled for value formulas.
Note: |
All numerical values in formulas are taken into account as parameter of the time type ttu. |
