The code is the name of an element that is used to address it for any further use. The code is the unique key term under which an element is stored in the database (comparable to the name of a file).

The code can be entered manually (free) or with the help of a predefined coding schema.

The code consists of digits and characters and is displayed in the title bar (caption) of the tab. The following characters are not allowed:

%, *, ?, _ ,' or ".

Zusätzlich zum Kode stehen Index und Variante als weitere Felder optional zur Verfügung, um einen Baustein eindeutig zu identifizieren. Beide können z. B. genutzt werden, um verschiedene Versionen oder Stände ein und desselben Bausteins (Kodes) in der Datenbank anzulegen.
