The code is the name of an element that is used to address it for any further use. The code is the unique key term under which an element is stored in the database (comparable to the name of a file).
The code can be entered manually (freely) or with the help of a predefined Kodierungsschema.
The code consists of digits and characters and is displayed in the title bar (caption) of the tab. The following characters are not allowed:
%, *, ?, _ ,' or ".
In addition to the code, "Index" and "Variant" are provided as further, optional fields to identify an element clearly. Both fields can be used to create different versions or states of one and the same element (code) in the database.
Note: |
The fields "Index" and/or "Variant" can be displayed or hidden by the administrator. |
