Within the framework of the project HWD® (Human Work Design), the eponymous element system MTM-HWD® has been developed since 2012. This system combines methodical and ergonomic work design in just one step.
The element system MTM-HWD® was developed on the basis of the globally established element system MTM-1® and ergonomic evaluation procedures for business applications (EAWS®, EAB, and APSA). In contrast to the already existing element systems (e.g. MTM-2®, MTM-UAS®, and MTM-1®), the focus is on a chronological process description, including the three result values (process description, activity time, and load index).
Note: |
•In order to be able to use the module TiCon HWD®, licenses for EAWS®, HWD®, and Base are required. •To learn how to use the TiCon HWD® module correctly, we recommend attending corresponding MTM training. The explanation of individual rules is, therefore, not included in this guide. |
MTM-HWD® is a method that uses actions to model any manual work process. Depending on influencing factors, each action has been assigned a standard time value and an ergonomic load index calculated using an interlinked ergonomic assessment tool (e.g. EAWS®). |
