Understanding and comprehending the precise calculation of the points requires training in the EAWS® method as well as exact knowledge of the EAWS® body of rules.
If arm and whole body force are present at the same time, both forces are classified in row 18. If a finger and an arm force are present at the same time, both forces are classified in row 20, provided that the finger force is not absorbed as arm force or whole-body force due to EAWS® rules. Finger forces are classified in row 17 (provided they are not absorbed) and in row 20 simultaneously. Finger forces thus have an effect at two points in the evaluation.
